Celebrating the Arnett Hills Elementary School Project in Danville, VA
We are proud to celebrate the completion of one of our most exciting and transformative projects to date: furnishing the brand-new Arnett Hills Elementary School in Danville, Virginia. This new facility replaces the old G.L.H. Johnson Elementary school, providing more operating space and enhancing the environment for everyone involved.
Arnette Hills is the first new school that Danville Public Schools has opened in 30 years! The new elementary school spans over 90,000 square feet and is truly a state-of-the-art school. This new building enables the old facility to be repurposed as a daycare, resulting in two newly upgraded spaces for the future of Danville.
Collaboration and Teamwork That Made It Possible
Special congratulations and thank you to Superintendent Angela Hairston and the implementation team headed by Walter Lucas. The amount of collaboration and teamwork required to execute a project of this magnitude cannot be overstated. As always, the team at Branch Construction, led by Kirk Grove and David Marshall, was a pleasure to work with. If you like the color palette, furniture layout, and overall design of the school, as much as we would like to take the credit for it, the credit belongs to designer Samantha Josh with Dewberry. Thank you, Samantha, for trusting us to bring your vision to life.
We would also be remiss if we didn’t give a special shout-out to The HON Company. Their research and development team has done incredible work over the past decade. They followed the market trends that led them to innovative designs, specially crafted to optimize student and teacher potential. Recognizing Our Project Management and Installation Team
Our team, in particular, Adam Horsely and Caroline Johnston, collaborated closely with Danville Public Schools and Dewberry throughout the entire process from concept through completion to bring everyone’s vision to life. Adam brings an immense amount of product knowledge to the table to help guide the project towards its goal. For Adam, his involvement did not stop there. As project manager, it also involved long days in the summer heat alongside our talented and fast-paced installation team, executing the installation and meeting the given timelines. We would especially like to recognize and thank our installation crew, Jonathan, Shawn, and Stan, whose hundreds of hours of hard work, including weekends, were crucial to delivering this project on schedule. Their commitment reflects the standard we strive to uphold on every project. Great job, Caroline, Adam, and the installation team.
